Music
Max is an acclaimed guitarist and has opened for acts Lorde, G Flip, and Lime Cordiale as guitarist for indie-pop artist Stellie. He performed with Stellie at music festivals WOMADelaide, Summer Sounds and Harvest Rock and performed on her breakout single 'Let's Forget We Were in Love'.
Max is an experienced vocalist and has also performed as a singer and a guitarist on Almost Evelyn's self-titled EP, in vocal supergroups The Treble Men, Energy Oz, and ICON’s of Music for the Royal Adelaide Show, and on pop-rock album She... with Vince Fusco, which he also co-wrote.
Max’s composition credits include ‘The Most Lamentable Roman Tragedy of Titus Andronicus’ (dir. Charley Sanders), ‘Flood’ (dir. Max Garcia-Underwood), and ‘The Split’ (dir. Charley Sanders) which he co-composed with multi award-winning producer, Mario Späte. He also composed the score for ‘The Bloodsoaked Rose’, season 6 of Role To Cast’s actual play podcast. Most recently he composed and performed the score for ‘How Long is a Piece of String’ (Melbourne Fringe 2022 and Adelaide Fringe 2023)
Max has performed extensively as a guitarist on productions such as ‘Guitarissimo’ (Adelaide Guitar Festival), and musicals ‘Spring Awakening’, ‘Next to Normal’, ‘Bring it On’, ‘In The Heights’ and ‘Legally Blonde’.
